Datab
Identity verification infrastructure

Atlas

Atlas is the identity verification infrastructure bundled on every Datab Node. It records and verifies people, institutions, nodes, devices, documents, files, and trusted actions without making cloud identity a dependency for local operations.

What Atlas provides

  • Identity registry — person, institution, node, and device identity records served by Atlas Core on the node.
  • Verification proofs — document, file, action, and credential proof hooks for institutional records.
  • Consent gate — every sensitive lookup or sharing action is consent-gated and audit-logged.
  • Trust signals — credit and advisory risk signals remain available as Atlas Trust workloads, not the whole product.

What Atlas does not do

  • It does not store passwords. Authentication happens in the backend; Atlas only stores identity-trust state.
  • It does not approve loans, medical decisions, admissions, or institutional actions. Approval remains institutional policy.
